Donut (doughnut) Applique

These were made using a 2.75mm (C) hook and worsted weight yarn.
Ideas on how to use these appliques...
*These would be great to apply to any project or gift.
*You can add them to kitchen towels,
*turn them into a keychain or fridge magnet or paperclips.
*You can also make several and make a garland.
*Attach a ribbon to make them into bookmarks.
*Attach them to a hair tie for your little girl.

SIZE/MEASUREMENTS
approx. size: 1.0"H x 1.0"W
...but can vary based on yarn and hook size

MATERIALS
*Crochet hook size: 2.0mm
*Lace weight yarn: color of choice
*Tapestry Needle
*Paperclip (optional)
*Hot Glue

PATTERN NOTES
  Numbers in ( ) at the end of each round/row indicate the total number of stitches.
  Always use stitch markers to mark your rounds.
  There's no need to sl st and/or ch when going to the next round unless stated to do so.
These were made using a 2.0mm hook with lace weight yarn.

DOUGH
ch7, sl st into the 1st st to form a ring
  Rnd 1: ch2, 12hdc inside the ring, sl st into 1st st (12)
  Rnd 2: ch2, 2hdc in next st, hdc in next st around, sl st into 1st st (18)
  Rnd 3: ch1, sl st in each st around (18)
F/O and secure and weave in the ends.

FROSTING
ch7, sl st into the 1st st to form a ring
  Rnd 1: ch2, *2dc inside the ring, sl st inside the ring*, repeat from * to * 3 more times, sl st into 1st st (12)
F/O, leave a tail to sew to the dough. Secure and weave in the ends.


ASSEMBLE
     For the sprinkles, embroider little lines over the frosting with any color of your choice.
     Glue a paperclip on the back.
